Shadowrun: Run Faster

Shadowrun: Run FasterCatalyst hat mit Run Faster ein neues Regelwerk veröffentlicht, welches ähnlich dem in vergangenen Editionen erschienenen Kompendium einige Aspekte des Spiels erweitert. SR5 Core RulesZunächst möchte ich den Leuten von Catalyst Games dafür danken, dass ich die Chance erhielt, ein Review zu Shadowrun 5 schreiben zu können. Meine erste Shadowrun-Runde als Spieler habe ich 1992 erlebt, als gerade die Zweite Edition herauskam. Seitdem spiele ich in zwei Gruppen, eine davon eine Mischung aus zweiter und dritter Edition, eine in der vierten Edition. Das Erscheinen einer neuen Version von Shadowrun ist für mich eine große Nummer und seit der ersten Ankündigung war ich aufgeregt und neugierig auf dieses Buch … naja auch wenn ich es derzeit nur in digitaler Form vorliegen habe.

Die fünfte Edition ist geprägt von einerseits vielen bekannten Dingen, aber auch Änderungen und Neuerungen, die sowohl für Hardcore-Spieler als auch Neulinge interessant sind.

Neue Alternativregeln mit Shadowrun – The Way of the Adept

Catalyst beginnt eine neue Reihe, genannt Shadowrun Options, welche alternative Regelwerke und andere Herangehensweisen an Spielarten beinhaltet, so dass man die Art und Weise, wie man Shadowrun spielt, weiter ausbauen kann.

Das erste Buch der Reihe beginnt mit dem Buch „The Way of the Adept“. Wie der Titel schon erkennen läßt, ist dies sehr adeptenlastig, so dass man jede Menge Spaß als Fäuste schwingender oder Pistolen ziehender Adept hat.

Hier wird das ganze mit einigen Regeln, wie z.B. speziellen Gaben und Ki-Kräften, unterfüttert. Das ganze ist 15 Seiten schwer, aber für die Adepten unter Euch könnte es sich lohnen!
